Study information guide

Follow the undergraduate, master’s or doctoral path: check eligibility, then programmes, documents and application dates.

Undergraduate study

Establish your applicant status and qualification route before choosing institutions and programmes.

Find programmes
  1. Identify your route

Check your applicant status, curriculum and examination qualifications. Gaokao, international and local admission routes are not interchangeable.

  2. Compare programmes

Review award titles, subjects or prerequisites, teaching language and duration. Distinguish a programme catalogue from the current admissions plan.

  3. Check the current intake

Use the institution’s current guide to confirm the application channel, dates, documents, assessments and offer acceptance.

Entry requirements
  • Applicant status and qualification route
  • Subjects, prerequisites and language
  • Application channel and intake plan
  • Fees, scholarships and offer acceptance

Read the curriculum and confirm taught or research study, full-time or part-time mode, location and graduation requirements.

  2. Check entry requirements

Review both university-wide and programme-specific requirements, including academic background, language evidence and additional documents.

  3. Prepare and apply

Confirm the current round, prepare academic records, qualifications, experience and required references, then submit through the university system and follow up on documents.

Entry requirements
  • Taught or research degree
  • Academic background and language evidence
  • Duration, fees and graduation requirements
  • Rounds, documents and follow-up

Doctoral and research applications

Start with research fit, programme expectations and supervisor information.

Find programmes
  1. Establish research fit

Read departmental research areas and programmes. Check a potential supervisor’s connection to the programme; follow departmental instructions on whether prior contact is needed.

  2. Review programme requirements

Check qualifications, language evidence, a research proposal or statement of interest, references and any departmental evidence.

  3. Plan applications and funding

Check admission, scholarship and funding dates and conditions separately. After submission, follow university instructions on documents and assessment.

Entry requirements
  • Research areas and supervisor information
  • Qualifications, language and research materials
  • References and departmental requirements
  • Separate admission and funding deadlines
